The Northeast Biomass Thermal Working Group (NEBTWG) invites feedback on important recommendations and best practices for the delivery and transportation of bulk wood pellets.

In the beginning of 2012, a group of dedicated individuals in NEBTWG came together with the goal of detailing a common and universal document on pellet transportation and delivery. Many of these people are involved daily in wood pellet distribution. Their experience, combined with regular discussion, led to the creation of the document, “Wood Pellets Quality and Safety Assurance for Transportation and Delivery.”

While a great deal of time and expertise has gone into this draft, the group recognizes that additional input will improve the document as a resource for everyone involved in the biomass thermal supply chain, regardless of region.  The final recommendation document will help advance the market for bulk fuel delivery.

When making comments, use the comment template available above (Excel spreadsheet) to communicate your suggestions. Your comments may note any areas or specific sections that you believe require clarification, additions, or edits, if any.  Comments must be emailed to info@nebioheat.org with “Transportation and Delivery Document” in the subject line.  Note: only comments submitted in the spreadsheet format will be accepted.
